Does Reel 45 work as an opener that teaches you how to listen to the rest of the record?

I thought it was a difficult opener, in retrospect. Of the four tracks it feels like least accessible. It bludgeons the listener with pretty simplistic, aggressive drums for the duration while the rest of the sounds are pure droning. I suppose if you survive it the rest of the album becomes much more palatable. Maybe that's the point?

I personally thought it was the most captivating track! Had me locked the fuck in listening to the comings and goings of the snare
