Monday, Monday opens the album with heartbreak dressed as sunshine — does that emotional disguise make the song hit harder or softer?

It reminds me of VU's "Who Loves The Sun" which also is a cheery opening track with miserable underpinnings. I think it works and is a great way to kick off the duality of a lot of the songs.
