Go Where You Wanna Go is a deceptively ambivalent farewell — whose side does the song ultimately seem to take?

I love this song because it’s so upbeat. It’s all have a ‘happy life’ and ‘go get those dreams’, but that turns into ‘how could you leave me, you soul crusher?’ As far as whose side it takes, I don’t think it’s the side of the one who left aka the soul crusher.
