This is some fine-ass Americana. I'd present this album to anyone who says they don't like country. There's some really quietly masterful guitar work that provides the perfect amount of scaffolding for Williams' plainly heartbreaking lyrics and warmly resonant middle register.

@William has been our resident "if you don't like country you should try this" guy. Curious if you've heard this one and have thoughts.

@Jangles I actually have not, i know it's like one of those legendary albums just haven't got a chance to give it a listen

That was a really cool listen. I think I'm starting to see the lineage of artists after some hand holding from @William and others, from traditional country singers like Waylon Jennings to contemporary like Alan Jackson and modern artists like Noah Kahan and Tyler Childers. I think this falls in that contemporary sweet spot, but with incredibly honest lyricism I haven't heard from country music of that time. There are a ton of tropes to the genre, for better or worse. Lucinda seems approach with a light touch that reveals why they're tropes in the first place while keeping the focus on her own story. The songs are ear worms, too. Lots of great hooks, melodies, and the like. Great first pick!

@Jangles i will have to give this one a listen
