How much do the country and Americana flavors in tracks like Hometown and Tractor Dogs shape your read of Seal as a player?

I didn't hear any country or Americana in Hometown. Tractor Dogs, though, is heavy on it. The song definitely showcases his talent. He can get a little flashy for my liking, but then he throws in such incredible ideas like the last minute of the song. What a f'n groove.
