The cost (or lack thereof) associated with the production of this album holds no weight to me with how I heard the album; however, if I were to take this into account it only further enhances this album for me. Start to finish the identity heard is fully fleshed out and executed brilliantly to me. Part of the lore that I truly appreciate and that comes with ‘Murmur’ is it created and helped inspire a new generation of artists to find the confidence to create something on their own, without the restrains of trying to sign with a major label or needing a large fanbase to appeal to. And it all works beautifully here, regardless of production costs or lengthy studio time. Sometimes less is more, and ‘Murmur’ absolutely shows that this saying applies here
