Just took my first pass through the album while doing some work. This one definitely demands attention. There's a lot more depth musically than many other singer/songwriters. For some reason I kept thinking back to Neil Young's Harvest periodically.
Just did my second pass with lyrics. I think I like the album more from a composition than a lyrical standpoint. There's a bit of beauty to the simplicity of the words, but I didn't find enough depth to really capture my attention. I do, however, really enjoy the sound of the album. Summer's Coming Around Again was a highlight for me.
Summer’s Coming Around Again has been stuck in my head for two days. It kept reminding me of something that I couldn’t put my finger on. I finally figured it out - The Girl from Ipanema by Astrud Gilberto, Joao Gilberto and Stan Getz.
