Just gave this one my first spin. I'm kind of blown away. I don't know if I've give Rihanna a listen beyond her massive hits. The production on this one was so tight! The intersection of more traditional R&B with some of the sounds I'd associate with other electronic genres - gated drums, massive synths, sub-bass, phased out samples - was an amazing counterpoint to her gorgeous voice. Plus the rhythm and swing to her vocal delivery is infectious. Going to have to give this one some more time. Such a great album.
