How does Mama's Dead change the emotional atmosphere of the album, and does its placement feel intentional or jarring?

It definitely sticks out i wouldn't say jarring just a reminder really of the film and what it's about. It's easy to get lost in the music of this album and forget about the movie

I loved the emotional shift. JB's vocal dynamics are really on display. The strings and upright bass take us in a massively different direction. The drums feel like they're rocking us gently. Such a beautiful track.
