What role does storytelling play in tracks like "My Life" or "U Don't Know Me"?

My Life is T.I. Tupac track it sounds just like All Eyes on Me. Even the vocal inflections on the hook is very Pac like. It's a great storytelling beat and Pac was a great storyteller and this song echoes some of that. It's a smooth track nothing spectacular but a nice throwback to 96 on this one
