Angel from Montgomery has been covered by countless artists since; what do you think keeps drawing singers back to it?

I don’t know. I’m relatively new to these songs so I wasn’t aware it had been covered by numerous artists. The song seems simple. Perhaps that gives others a nice base on which they can add their twist and show listeners who they are.
