Does bury a friend actually feel unsettling to you, or has its sound become too familiar to land that way anymore?

Though it is a song I listen to semi-frequently I still find the tone of it unsettling. Anytime it’s featured in something spooky it’s easy to see why.

It definitely sounds unsettling. The music video puts it over the top, though.

Interesting song. I'm not sure it is unsettling. It is strange. As it is new, I looped the song a couple of times to try to address this question. I am struck at how weird the tune would sound without her vocals that unify everything into the song it is. I can't imagine that it could become too familiar. Interesting. Strange ... but interesting.
