Easily one of my favorite albums of the early '00s. It truly feels like a musical journey from beginning to end. This is one that you really have to take in as a full piece to appreciate. Excited to take it for another spin!

This album seriously never gets old. Zooming in on the minutia reveals incredible songwriting, melodies, production, instrumentation...you name it. Zooming out and you find a world of beautiful themes, textures, composition. It's both mind blowing in abstract and super listenable in it's actual form. It's definitely one of those gut checks for me when getting to know other music heads. If you've heard it I want to talk about it. If you haven't, you're in for a treat. Hoping this puts some new folks onto an amazing piece of art from The Flaming Lips.

Would love to dive into either Ritual de lo Habitual or Nothing’s Shocking from Jane’s Addiction. A lot to unpack on both of those great records. Maybe the first Stone Roses record as well.

Albums from my youth I’d love to discuss 1. Zingalamaduni by Arrested Development 2. Radiohead - OK Computer 3. How It Feels to Be Something On - Sunny Day Real Estate 4. The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill 5. Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness - The Smashing Pumpkins 6. Fiona Apple - Tidal 7. Jeff Buckley - Grace

Confession - I have actually never listened to this album. I have a number of artists and bands that I have wanted to dig into and haven’t, and The Flaming Lips isn definitely one of them. Excited to listen!’

@MaxSycophant unfortunately I walked right passed them at the second bonarroo. I’m pretty sure they were playing Yoshimi as the late night set. Decided to go see Medeski, Martin and Wood instead. Was a great show, but I made a poor decision.
