It might be a bit of an assumption, but this one feels like an album that many would cite as a must-have of the era. I'm curious, for those that end up diving in for a spin -- why do you feel this is such a landmark album?

This might likely be the greatest album ever made, every song sounds like it could be the single, every song just feels so special, almost as if they have always existed but at the same time it feels almost like a snapshot of the era

For sure, @William . It’s kind of strange to call a song perfect, but it would be a travesty if any of these songs were any different.

I was 14 when this record came out and it was a milestone for me, for sure! The music, the lyrics, the visuals of the album cover are made of tremendous impression on me at that age began informing my listening taste too much more sophisticated music.

@nightbird2k26 same year as Harvest and Exile on Main St. Some heavy hitters.

I'd never really gotten into Bowie until my late 20s, when I first heard this album I was blown away and listened to it over and over again. It transplants me right back where I was and what I was doing back when I was listening to it a ton, one thing I love about music. I do think it's a milestone album, in part due to his costumes and the live performance aspect to reinforce the themes of the songs - it's just so unique and creative
