Violator was a great follow-up to Music for the Masses. Their first few albums were very, new wave poppy for me. I grew with this era as it grew. They didnt make a huge splash in the USA until some great reward. The first 3 are just good alternative pop. Black Celebration I remember not liking at all... but I sensed a change coming with them. I would put violator right after music for the masses as there best efforts and where they really matured and found a really unique sound
