Does the slow patient pacing of Plainsong and Pictures of You still work in an era of thirty second attention spans?

YES. The patience throughout this album is one of the reason it feels so special. There's time to sit with the sounds and really feel them. I absolutely love the experience.

I feel like it works, especially to set the vibe of the album

It’s such a wonderful start to the album and it lets you know where it’s gonna go. Also how it’s gonna feel.

A resounding yes. We need to bring back patience in music. Plainsong sets the tone for what is to come and I’ve always thought the first burst of chimes sounded like shattering glass. If you’re alone, with headphones on, the pacing is the experience.

Couldn't agree more.

By the time we get to the first verse in Pictures of You I feel like we've already left the real world and are totally immersed in the album's atmosphere. It's all consuming.

Closedown just keeps that going. The album really does feel like one piece.
