Give Up The Funk (Tear The Roof Off The Sucker) became Parliament's signature anthem — does it feel like the album's centerpiece or does another track rival it?

It's hard to fight the anthemic vibes of this one. I love the ups and downs that get us here, but it's definitely the centerpiece to me.

As a bassist, this song has the least notes in the main riff, but those notes keep the song moving even with little variations. It's a master class in good bass playing.
