I feel like Maiden Voyage as an opening track naturally draws the listener in. To be honest, I don't think I'd use this album as an intro for someone that doesn't already enjoy jazz. Herbie is a musician that anyone can like, but Maiden Voyage as an album feels a bit too loose in it's structure for a listener that hasn't tuned their ear for it yet.
