Does Adrian Younge’s analog, live instrumentation production enhance or distract from Ghostface’s lyrical delivery?

Adrian Younge Presents: Twelve Reasons To Die by Ghostface Killah, Adrian Younge · The Pocket

I liked it. Very different. A sound that could have come from the 70’s.

It definitely enhances it. There are some really thoughtful tricks throughout the album that bring a whole new level to Ghostface's rhymes. I just started Rise of the Black Suits - call and response melodies, tension and release during the chorus, counterpoint between the bass and the piano lines. It's all super cool and creates a crazy cool atmosphere for Ghostface to weave his stories.

I'm kind of curious how Ghostface would talk about the whole vibe. Wu Tang leaned so hard into kung-fu. This gothic horror vibe feels like it fits him so well, it's kind of like him taking on his own muse in the same way.
