Nuclear Burn opens the album at full intensity — does that immediate complexity pull you in or hold you at arm's length?

I saw these guys much much later... like maybe 2016 or so... they were making a resurgence... wasnt familiar with this song then, but it was one of the closers and this thing just ripped!!

I hadn't heard of Brand X before. Coming into this one with open ears, Nuclear Burn was a bit of a slap in the face. There are so many distinct sections - each with their own theme, point of focus, sounds, textures - that it demanded immediate attention. The pace that they move through the sections is kind of crazy. I guess I feel like this sort of music always stands at arm's length until you know it through and through, at which point you can kind of let go, stop listening, and really start to feel it.
