Over all, the vocals are my least favorite. This band seems really tight musically and very creative. When it comes to the singing, it feels like they had to draw straws to see who would be the singer. He has this Zappa style of vocal, more narration than singing. I know now that the singer is Kim Mitchell. I actually have his first solo album from the mid 80s and its much better.. he has more control. This is actually a huge powerful album though.

Wife's out of town so I'm on daughter duty. Been behind the last few days. Very puzzled by the riddle of an introduction. Hoping to take a spin tomorrow to see if I can find some clues in the music.

"Max Webster has the unique distinction of having something no other rock band in music history has." First thought was a banana colored, full body lycra jump suit as their cover art.

The first two tracks feel like straight ahead 70s rock. April in Toledo definitely took a turn, though. I actually kind of dig the Frank Zappa-esque spoken lyrics.

Halfway through and I have no idea what Max Webster is famous for.

Some interesting songwriting in this one. There were moments were it felt like it was trying too hard, though. More than anything else the vocals were pretty rough. Fun, quirky listen but I don't think I'd revisit.

Just finish. Still have no idea. I'll hold off on searching online so you can reveal before you close this one out, @SeanInConcert
