@SeanInConcert Hey! So far behind on listening. Been cranking on some cool stuff coming in a week or so. I should have some time to check this out in the next few days. Just took a peak at the first track to see what's coming. This is nuts!

Finally digging in! Curious how you found these guys, @SeanInConcert

@SeanInConcert Pretty insane listen. Definitely one of the more unique albums I've heard since we started this whole thing.

JanglesAdmin

Ohhhh….the drums in The Way to Self! So good!

Idea is another one that sticks out. I’m struggling with the guitar tone, though. The base of it sounds derivative of 70s prog. The compositions feel like they deserve more varied sounds from the guitar. There’s way too much whammy going on, too.

JanglesAdmin

Yup. Last Question is landing as my favorite song on the album and I think it’s because of how totally different it is from the rest of the album.

That was a cool listen. Not to be a broken record, but the guitar tones killed me. If the guitarist had just tried to find their own sound instead of borrowing from prog rock and hard roofs/metal norms I think I really would have loved this album.

@Jangles I was fine with the tone and it would change up a bit but I get it. I hate listening to Eric Johnson....nails on a chalk board

@SeanInConcert It's kind of funny how tone plays such a dramatic role in how music is perceived. Someone could write the most amazing song, composition, beat, whatever...but if the fundamental sounds don't hit us the right way it doesn't matter.
