The closing title track Iowa runs 15 minutes — does the length feel earned by the end of the album?

Yes and no, I feel like its one of the least essential songs on the album, but its still a good listen, I just think that maybe it could be shorter but then again I do feel like the songs length is part of the emotional experience

@William the emotional experience was definitely how I felt about the song. It was one of my favorite parts of the album and really helped to unwind after being pulverized by the rest of the album.

The psychedelic feel of the song was pretty surprising. Do they have songs like that on other albums or was this out of left field?

@Jangles its kinda anomaly, they have a few tracks that kinda seem like one offs throughout there career, my favorite is the piano Heavy Spiders, but overall all the slipknot sound is much more aligned with the rest of the album
