Does Chattahoochee still hit the same way now as it did when you first heard it, or has it changed with time?

This is the song that i have probably heard the most in my life, and I'm still not tired of it, maybe the greatest country song of all time

I definitely remember this being on the radio when it came out. It do think songs from back then hit differently no matter what. We’re older, tastes evolve, times change. That said, I really enjoyed this song. It definitely stands up better with a more critical ear all these years later than its original context of a country pop culture hit.
