I got my hands on a copy of his greatest hits album at 8 or 9 and became obsessed with this song. Eons later I introduced it to my boyfriend who said “were you having an existential crisis at 9?”. He just didn’t get it. The whole song is an epic but there is something about the line “From the high to the low, to the end of the show” that gets me every time.
