How do you feel about an album made almost entirely from guitar that often sounds nothing like a guitar record?

The sound palette is really impressive. I guess midi has been around for a long time now, but the quality of guitar effects, and guitar synths in particular, have come a long way over the last 10ish years. I do think that the constraints and norms of the instrument paint those sounds in a bit of a corner, though. In many cases the sounds still sound like a guitar in execution, if that makes sense.
