How does the mostly acoustic approach change what The Mantle feels like compared to heavier metal records you listen to?

I'd say that this album is empty. The acoustic overtones are boringly simple. On one hand it raises the vocal intensity, on the other, it mutes the weight of the music, overall dulling the album considerably.
