It’s not the raw, aching type of breakup song, and I think that’s OK. The lyrics are more resolute and speak on having standards moreso than being torn. One of the best songs on the album IMO.
Does Almost Doesn't Count hold up as one of the sharper breakup songs of its era, or does its polish keep it at arm's length emotionally?
