Say Hello is such a sleeper album cut. For some reason this record always felt like a wintery soundtrack too, must’ve been the movie vibe. Thanks for the comment!

Great pick! I haven't listened to much DMX so I came in expecting an album of Ruff Ryders' Anthem. There were funk vibes. There were club vibes. Then there were these crazy cinematic vibes. Strings. Organ. Bongos. Such a dynamic album. I can't think of many MCs that could deliver Prayer like he did. His delivery has a stunted flow that makes it sound like he's deep in thought while he's speaking -- timid at times and unfiltered aggression at others. It's so raw and real. Fucking awesome.
Man, the defining album of mine entering my freshman year. I credit this album for giving me the juice to make the basketball team.
