Wild sound. Harlem x Houston x Memphis. When it came out it scrambled my brain a little by the way he stirred up his influences and created something so fresh with it. In anticipation of an A$AP release week let's give the OG major label debut a run through. We could've done the mixtape... but I needed to hear 1-Train again.

Favorite club pick so far. This album is fire front to back. I had no idea this aesthetic was a sub-genre of rap. (Cloud Rap/Trillwave?) I love how dreamy the whole thing feels. So many synth layers, big room reverb and echos on the drums, all the pitch shifting on the vocals. It sounds so drugged out in the best way. His delivery is so easy, too. This is a headphones up loud kind of album. Can't get enough of it.
