Don't think I've ever listened to SZA. Love the sound of that out of tune/brokenish guitar in the opening track.

Just got through my first spin. I really loved the production of the album. You can hear some serious shared DNA with Kendrick's album of that time, DAMN. (Check out the similarities between Drew Barrymore and PRIDE.) I might have to give it another go, but I found the lyricism to be a slog. It's probably a little unfair because the surface-level storytelling just isn't going to resonate with me with my cultural background. I find the concept of Ctrl to have sort of a universal truth to it. I just didn't find the lyrics to peel back the layers of the idea, though.
