From SeanInConcertBeing from the DC area and working in the music industry, I know a lot of the bands from the area. Thievery Corporation is no exception. Ive known them since they started in 96. In the past, they would have 4 or 5 vocalists in concert per show. Most recently, they have scaled down to one vocalist, a lady named Laura Vall, a native of Spain. Ive moved to Tampa, and I get to see Thievery once a year when they come tour, and the last 4 years I have had the pleasure of watching Laura perform, signing all of the incredible Thievery Corporation songs, that had been spread out over many vocalists over 30 years. This past tour, we hung out and talked (like we have since she joined 4 years ago), but this time in our talks, I had realized I had never asked her about her other music projects, if she had any. And of course she did... she was happy I inquired FINALLY! As of this writing, that conversation happened 3 nights ago, and I am about to explore Baila Nova for the first time here, in Sound Club. Enjoy!!
