From dwilliams20Smash the mirror is that a literal look at how the USA is finaly waking up to understand our system is broken. Being a centrist is like standing for nothing and in America your still conservative. We when blinded and shut up by the mother and father of backsliding of our democracy with Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher leading our countries. Bullied into meangless wars for oil in Iraq and Iran. We have watched our nations be plundered and pilaged leaving no substantial middle class. What do we do after standing up do we blindly follow the next leader or do we stop blindly seeking solutions. Tommy shows a story of boy witnessing murder dealing with PTSD and withdrawal being tortured multiple times. Eventually becoming a cult leader before being brought back to reality. Post Veitnam, Watergate in America we became politacly numb cared not strongly for or against a lot of it. Change became slow stagnant then regressed in the eighties leading to our first cult like leaders. America is in there second and more dangerous one. We like Tommy are smashing the mirror of Political insanity we becouse for the first time America may cross over to have candidates technically on the left side of political spectrum. Britan is seeing the insanity of the two party strangely hold and whatever Count Binface will do. However, when we get what we seek will we blindly follow or will we not take anything to be good enough until the government becomes a force of good for the people. Listen to Tommy to understand childhood trauma conect such with the stories the news shows you or doesn't. Connect Tommy's story to how politics was very silent for years. How we had been traumatized into silence and how our voices were marginalized tell no one cared. How now the mirror is in the process of being smashed or getting ready to be destroyed. Though the rock opera may be flawed in peices it holds themes and struggles we all must grapel with. The movie version is free on YouTube staring Elton John and Tina Turner alongside the who.
