From harlanworldThere's so much fun and depth in this tape. First mixtape in the club. Obviously the mixtape category is really deep and there are so many great ones, but this jumped out on a sunny February Friday. It's DMV's finest, Wale. The OG Sneakerhead rapper takes on the greatest television show of all time as inspiration. Marries it with new artist ambition, he's still young and hungry with so much to prove in 08. The swagger is different. As an "album" it's less polished and tied in a bow, but it's packed full of story from beginning to end, so many different ideas, and of course that irrefutable go-go sound of DC. Give it a run.
