How much of the album's energy depends on Jemima Pearl specifically — could this material work with a different frontperson?

I don't think so. Along with bringing incredible dynamics that carry many of the songs, it seems like the band has constructed songs to support her unique delivery. I love how she leads them through vocal phrasing that tends to immediately reappear or are resolved through the chord progressions. It leads to some really interesting songs.
