Does hearing Phish in a smaller European club change how the band comes across compared to what you'd expect from them?

As a head, absolutely. Seeing them international is at the top of my Phish bucket list. Their shows have a special intimacy despite being in 20k-30k venues. I can only imagine what it would feel like seeing them in a club with a few hundred people.

I think the small club is a different sound from their bigger shows. Both are good. The sound isn’t as “big” if that makes sense. It can’t be in a small venue. The interaction with the audience is more intimate.
