Deleting your account

How to delete your account

• On the web: Account › Settings › Delete account. Type DELETE and confirm.
• On iPhone and Android: Account › Delete account. Type DELETE and confirm.

Can't sign in? Email admin@soundclub.app from your account's email address and ask us to delete it. We'll do it within 30 days and reply when it's done.

If you own a club

You'll be asked to make a co-host the owner, or delete the club, before your account can be deleted. Clubs aren't deleted automatically.

What's deleted

• Your email address, sign-in and password
• Your profile and profile photo
• Your ratings, RSVPs, club memberships, listening list, poll votes, reactions, follows and blocks
• Your notification settings, Inbox, privacy choices and messages to Sound Club

What stays

• Your posts stay in their discussions as "Former member", with no name or photo, so conversations still make sense. If you want a post removed, delete it first.
• Your private messages stay in the other person's conversation, also as "Former member". Nobody can reply to them.
• Clubs, album picks and sessions you created stay, without your name.
• Copies in backups are removed as the backups expire, within 30 days.

Deleting your account can't be undone. The Privacy Policy has the full details.

Guest RSVPs

RSVP'd to a session as a guest? Cancel from the link in your confirmation email, or email admin@soundclub.app. Guest details are deleted automatically 90 days after the session.
