From harlanworldThis week we are vibe shifting, despite my best intentions to put on a 2Pac record. So much of music is actually seasonal to me, atleast that is one of the biggest memory ties. I vividly remember playing this record on vinyl just staring out the window at nighttime snow in New York City. Weird orange glow of the streets. When the windows inside bead up from the blazing industrial heat. Sampha has this amazing texture in his voice, his composition is mostly electronic but still has a hip-hop-ish driving groove to it in a bunch of instances. Spaced out and atmospheric like the OG Neptunes with synths. A ride from beginning to end. Maybe that's the new NO SKIPS. Front to Back, let it runnnnnnnnn
